By accessing or using the Veryfy platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including businesses that have registered for an account and their authorised employees.
The Service provides API-based and web-based access to identity and business verification data sourced from official Kenyan government registries. You may use the Service solely for lawful business verification purposes.

To access the Service, you must register as a business and complete our Know Your Business (KYB) verification process. This requires submitting your Business Registration Number (BRN) and certificate, your KRA PIN certificate, and contact and account holder details.
We reserve the right to reject or suspend any account that fails our KYB review or subsequently violates these terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API credentials.
The Service operates on a prepaid token credit model. Each successful verification lookup deducts one token from your account balance. Failed lookups are not charged.
Token credits are non-refundable once purchased, except at our sole discretion. Credits do not expire. We reserve the right to change token pricing with 30 days notice.
You agree to use the Service only for legitimate business verification purposes in compliance with all applicable Kenyan laws, including the Data Protection Act 2019.
You must have a lawful basis for processing the personal data of individuals you verify. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the necessary consents or have another legal basis for each verification request you submit.
Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
Query data (the identifiers you submit for verification) is logged for audit and security purposes and retained for a period determined by our data retention policy. We do not sell this data to third parties.
All software, APIs, documentation, and platform interfaces are the intellectual property of Veryfy. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service during the term of your account.
The Service is provided "as is". While we source data from official government registries, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of verification results. Official registry data may contain errors or lag behind actual records.
Verification results should not be the sole basis for high-stakes decisions. Always apply appropriate due diligence in your own processes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veryfy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses resulting from reliance on verification results.
Our total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
